Silly girl

Here is a cute video of Luella in the tubs! :) She LOVES the tub! Oh and sorry for some of the nakedness...

Luella is five months old today!

I can't believe my little Punkie Bear is five months old today! She has been growing up way to fast! She is so much fun and can be so entertaining to be around. She is the most important thing to me, I can't imagine life with out her! We didn't plan on having her when we did but I wouldn't change her coming into our lives when she did, It was a blessing in disguise. :)

New Home!

Our contract was up in our apartment so I decided to start searching for a new place to live. Our apartment was a good starter home but I felt like it was time to upgrade, especially since we have a new addition in our family. I felt like it was time to find a place with a dishwasher and AC. Last summer I DIED! It was so hot we had to bring our mattress into the front room by the wall unit. We eventually got a AC window unit in our bedroom which made it livable. I didn't know how I was going to keep the baby's room cool enough for the summer without putting another ac window unit in her room. Plus, Our place was having some mold issues. Brett and I both felt like we were getting sick from it. We would clean in with bleach but it would always come back. We were sick of it! Literally! Also since we have moved here Luella has been sleeping so much better! Coincidence? I think not. So far I REALLY like the new place I found. It is not far from the old apartment just up the road. So we are still in the same area which we like. But, we have heard horror stories about the management here.. So we will see how that goes..I'm a little nervous about that. The new place has a more open floor plan, and island in the kitchen, a dishwasher, fireplace, AC, heat , two bathrooms, with the washer and dryer hook ups in one of the bathrooms instead of the kitchen which is SO much better!! I love the new place! The rooms are a tiny bit smaller, but i will take smaller rooms for a dishwasher and AC. Can I say that enough?? I HAVE AC AND A DISHWASHER!! haha I feel so blessed! :) here is the website to our new apartment! http://www.countryspringsapts.com/photos

Crazy Girl!

For the past couple of days Luella has started this new scream/yell. Its actually quite funny. Yesterday I was at the mall with my friends Jenn and Melissa, and for like an hour walking around she was just screaming! The mall has an echo so it seemed pretty loud and everyone was staring at us while we shopped. haha but she wasn't screaming because she was upset, but because I think she just likes the sound.. She has been growing up so fast! In the past couple of months she has really transformed into a new little baby girl! Every day she seems to be bigger and when I say bigger I don't mean in size I mean in personality. She is really starting to form her own little personality and it has been so much fun to watch. So far this has been my favorite stage she has gone through. She is starting to be able to interact more. She can play with toys, talk, blow raspberries, roll over, smile, laugh and more. She is such a joy to be around! She has also been sleeping SO much better! I now don't even rock her to sleep, I just lay her in her bed, she just rolls to her side or tummy and goes right to sleep with out protest!! (knock on wood) I NEVER thought this day would come! She now only wakes up once in the night to eat and goes right back down. I hope to eliminate that feeding soon. (we will see how that goes..) I just have to say I LOVE being a mommy! Its the best thing in the world! I'm not gonna lie it has its tough times but they are so worth it when you have your good times! I love my little Punkie Bear!

Tulip Festival

A few weeks ago Brett's mom and sisters invited Luella and I to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. I had never been before so I was very excited! It was the perfect day to go! The sun was out and it was warm! I immediately regretted wearing pants as soon as I got there. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL and it smelled heavenly! I hope to get to go again next year! Here are a few pics from the outing!!

Luella's first rice cereal!

Last night Luella had her first taste of solid foods! I can't believe she Is already big enough for that. We went to the doctor earlier that day for her four month check up. She did really well! She is actually a little shrimp, she weighs 11lbs 13oz, is 24 inches long and her head circumference was 15.2 inches. I hope she starts packing on the pounds soon, I'm a little worried at how small she is and how little weight she has gained. We will see over the next couple of month how adding baby food will do. Well here is a little clip of Luellas first time eating rice cereal!

Luella Jean Woffinden

As you all know I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Jan 13th, 2011 at 9:35pm. It was such an amazing day that I will never forget! I went to the doctor the day before I gave birth being a day over due. The Doctor examined me said that I was measuring big and that my cervix was favorable. So he said they could induce me the next day. I was super excited because I was so large and uncomfortable which I'm sure most women who have gone over due know this feeling! The next day we got to the hospital at 9 am, and of course I forgot my insurance card! duh! we were in such a rush I spaced one of the most important things. So Brett went back and got it for me while I got set up in a room. I then proceeded to get my IV's started to get the potocin going. Well.. They couldn't get and IV in me.. It took two nurses trying and 6 pokes, then after failing so many times they finally called the anesthesiologist, who came in with an IV finder. So I got poked 7 times which added another hour and a half to my stay. So FINALLY they got the potocin started. After a couple hours of being on the Potocin the doctor came in and broke my water. Let me tell you, it is the weirdest feeling ever! (don't worry I won't go in to detail) haha and It didn't even hurt at all, Which prior to this people mad me nervous telling me it was painful but it ended up not hurting a bit. About half an hour after getting my water broken I got my epidural. It wasn't to bad. So then it was just a waiting game. After several hours It was finally time to push! I was so excited and pumped, but when I started I realized it wasn't going to be as easy as I thought it would. Boy it was tiring! I pushed for about 45 mins and then out Came beautiful Luella Jean Woffinden! What a magical moment it was! It was the best feeling ever seeing your child you have been carrying and feeling in your tummy for the past nine months. She was perfect. The most beautiful baby in the world. :)
